The Dover Police Department held their first checkpoint on July 3rd on South Little Creek Rd.

While checking for impaired drivers, Officer Keene also reminded them to wear their seatbelts.  

Officers handed out information about the Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign to each driver.

Portable Breath Testers (PBT's) like this one are used by officers to measure the presence of alcohol in the body.

Within the first ten minutes of operation, a driver was asked to get out of his car for further testing.  Here he performs part of the Standardized Field Sobriety Test. He was subsequently arrested not for DUI but on drug related charges.
