Dear Highway Safety Partner:
The Delaware Office of Highway Safety is pleased to present our first-ever statewide Highway Safety Conference! We invite all of our
traffic safety partners to join us as we take a look at the current state of traffic safety in Delaware and, with an eye to the future, use
the solid foundation you've helped us create to build an even stronger, sustainable culture of safety on our state roadways.
Delaware's Highway Safety Conference will bring together individuals from a variety of organizations that have a vested interest in
improving highway safety in Delaware, and provide them with an open forum to share and discuss ideas. This conference is intended
for law enforcement, judges, prosecutors, traffic safety engineers, driver's education teachers, business and corporate safety leaders,
as well as medical and highway safety professionals.
At the conference you'll get up-to-date information on local, state, regional and national highway safety data, and hear from
local and national experts on a variety of highway safety topics including impaired driving, occupant protection, child passenger
safety, speed management, technology and traffic records, and media relations. So while you're here, please take advantage of
this unique opportunity to network with other traffic safety professionals and make new connections.
Our interactive sessions will allow speakers to share their experiences and strategies for success, and provide participants with
ample opportunity to ask important questions. You'll leave with the tools and tips necessary to assist you in implementing practical
and goal-oriented highway safety programs in your communities upon your return.
The conference is being held at the beautiful Atlantic Sands Hotel on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. We encourage you to take
advantage of all that our Delaware resort area has to offer including fine dining, eclectic shopping and fun entertainment venues.
The OHS Highway Safety Conference has something for everyone who attends. So please don't pass up this opportunity to learn
about the latest in highway safety issues and discover how you can help make a difference in making Delaware's roads safer. I'm
looking forward to seeing all of you, because together,we truly can make the First State first in safety.
Sincerely,
Tricia Roberts, Director—Delaware Office of Highway Safety
